I'm trying super hard on getting a full scholarship to a college, and so far its going great. I took a practice exam that is on a scale from 1-25 and I made a 23 hell yes... XD I am taking SOOO many ACT preps and college prep classes and finally, it is starting to pay off. so, I am starting to look into colleges and I haven't gotten into that stage of "these are my top 2" I'm just looking around and wanted to see if you guys had suggestions, advice, or anything to share about the colleges I am about to mention. I've talked to my friends, school counselor, parents, family members, and I just wanted to get as much advice as possible, so thanks guys! Well, first, I have always wanted to be an interior designer and architect. Those are pretty self-employed jobs so I would also like to be a music and theatre teacher either at a school or have my own studio. I'm not going to sit here and give you my whole background or anything but I have been playing violin for years and have been doing theatre ever since I was a very, very little kid- so its just something I would like to do. If all else fails, I would want to be a secondary school English teacher. I have been in advanced 'gifted' English classes ever since I was in 2nd grade. I took honors English my freshman year in high school, was good at it and went on to AP classes. Needless to say, English is my strongest subject. as for colleges, MIT in Cambridge, MA is my first choice for taking an Architectural major which is my most desired profession. Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA is my second choice is i decide to further my studies in music theory I have been checking out Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA Fordham in the Bronx NY Clark University in MA Amherst College Reed Brown University of Puget Sound in Washington I am trying to keep a diverse selection so I have many, many options. as for any other college (remember, i AM looking for suggestions) I would enjoy something in either the Massachusetts area or the Washington State area and any college that has great academics for - English and Literature (foreign literature also and a very GOOD philosophy program.) - Architecture and Interior Design -Music - Theatre and Technical Theatre Production because those 4 fields are what I want to study most so if you have any suggestions for me to look into, I would be glad to hear it. thanks in advanced. and I forgot to mention, I would really enjoy to have a school with a great community. Nice people, a close community, good professors, and a great and interesting city. A school with lots to do and lots of people to meet and connect with. I chose Pepperdine, Fordham, Clark, and Amherst because those are smaller schools so there is a more close-knit community which I really like that idea.... Read More »
